      How to Choose Your Coffee

The best coffee is the one that fits your routine. Start with how you brew, it is the most useful filter.

Espresso wants structure, sweetness, and body, like our Blackstrap Espresso. Drip and French press want something smooth and balanced for every day, like Highline. Pour over (Chemex, V60, Kalita) is where single origins shine, with the clarity and acidity you would miss in faster methods.

Single origin comes from one farm or region: seasonal, expressive, a clear sense of place. Blends mix origins for balance and consistency, built to taste good every day across methods.

      Know Your Roast

Roast level shapes flavor more than caffeine. Light roast is brighter and more acidic, with citrus, floral, and fruit notes, often the pick for pour over. Medium roast is the most versatile, balancing sweetness, body, and acidity for drip and everyday drinking. Dark roast is bold and roastier, with bittersweet chocolate, toasted sugar, and lower acidity.

      • Espresso: medium-dark like Blackstrap
      • Drip maker: balanced blends like Highline
      • Pour over: single origins
      • Everyday: 71 House or Blackstrap
      • Exploring: Roasters Selection, our rotating single origins
